District 4 is considered the hottest spot for Zurich's nightlife. Yet the district also benefits from its parks and green spaces inviting you to relax and recharge your batteries in the heart of the city on the Limmat.

Once home to the red-light district, the multicultural District 4 overflows with life. If you want to turn night into day, this is the place to be. The neighbourhood is not just about hip bars, restaurants and clubs, but it also features a significant number of parks for a moment of tranquillity.

Recreation in the middle of the city centre

Just a few steps away from the bustling Langstrasse, the Bäckeranlage is a green oasis in the heart of District 4. With its large playground and sunbathing lawn, the park is a popular meeting place for all generations and cultures. The Zeughaushof barracks area, located only a few steps away from Zurich's main railway station, is considered an important public open space in District 4. The Zeughaushof is also a regular venue for a variety of multicultural events.

District 3, also known as Wiedikon, is considered a quiet residential district and is home to the city's largest contiguous green space; the Sihlfeld cemetery.
